The overall goal of this proposed program (through Phase III) is to develop a novel Field-Level Aviation Fuel Contamination Analyzer (FLAFCA) capable of assessing questionable fuels or aerospace chemicals in real-time in the field. The overall goal of the Phase I program is 1) to determine the best analyzers that can be used in the field to perform fuel measurements and 2) to develop an approach to integrate these analyzers so that they can communicate with the US Air Force network (Cloud).Feasibility will be demonstrated during the Phase I program by controlling and acquiring data from these analyzers using a smartphone. The overall goal of the Phase II program will be to develop and build 3 FLAFCAs capable of assessing fuel samples both in the lab and the field using a smartphone to control and collect data from the analyzers, and transmit the data to the Cloud for fuel experts to examine. This will be accomplished by building the prototypes, adding the Cloud communication capability, testing the ability of the smartphone to control the analyzers, transmit and receive data from the Cloud, performing environmental tests, delivering the prototypes, and providing training for US Air force personnel.Fuel contamination analyzer,field-level fuel analyzer,Fuel Quality, rapid fuel analysis
