SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Apr 4, 2013) - StopTheHacker, a leading website security company based in San Francisco, gains additional traction in cloud services through an agreement with Savvis, a CenturyLink company and global leader in cloud infrastructure and hosted IT solutions for businesses, that enables businesses to add and manage StopTheHacker's artificial intelligence-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) website security products via the savvisdirect web portal.

The agreement with Savvis comes as the number of malware threats escalate. In fact, less than 5 percent of all websites today are protected, while the amount of infected websites have increased by 70 percent since last year, StopTheHacker's analytics find. Google alone is identifying more than 9,500 infected websites on a daily basis.

Malware infections degrade a website's performance and stability, resulting in increased demands on technical support and increased customer churn for web hosting companies. StopTheHacker's SaaS website security products detect and automatically remove web malware. By offering these products, web hosting companies protect their own reputations with their customers, creating an environment of safety and trust, while at the same time reducing support costs and churn.

"Web hosting from savvisdirect provides customers with a secure, easy-to-manage and dependable online presence, without the costs and headaches of maintaining complex IT infrastructure," said Steve Robinson, director of product management at Savvis. "By adding security solutions from StopTheHacker, we enhance customer confidence in our brand."

savvisdirect is an online channel that offers businesses of all sizes a set of frictionless, cost-effective cloud solutions. The U.S. launch of savvisdirect was announced in December 2012. Plans call for expanding savvisdirect into Europe and Asia during the next year.

"We are excited that savvisdirect is offering our website security products. These products help savvisdirect strengthen its customers' options for secure and easy-to-use cloud solutions," said Peter Jensen, CEO at StopTheHacker.
