SANTA ANA, California, May 22, 2012 - Iteris, Inc. (NYSE Amex: ITI), the leader in providing intelligent traffic management information solutions, and INRIX, a leading international provider of traffic information and driver services, have joined forces to integrate INRIX's real-time and historical traffic information with Iteris' leading intelligent performance measurement and management software system, IterisPeMS™.

IterisPeMS is an advanced, real-time data collection, diagnostic, fusion, and warehousing software platform used to aggregate and compute performance measures across multiple transportation modes, including travel time, travel time variability, delay, and lost throughput. This information is then analyzed by traffic professionals to measure how a transportation network is performing and what is needed to improve it. IterisPeMS is also capable of providing users with easy-to-use visualization and animation features for both historical and predictive traffic conditions.

With INRIX's data, IterisPeMS is now able to provide traffic data information with broader coverage across all major highways and arterial roads. Additionally, IterisPeMS will have an enhanced ability to evaluate and process this data, providing a more reliable, real-time, traffic management solution with actionable information.

"Our goal is to help our customers understand their transportation network and allow them to make better decisions," said Karl Petty, Chief Technologist of Iteris' iPerform group. "Adding INRIX's real-time and historical data increases the accuracy of the analyzed information. We've had an excellent track record of incorporating various third-party data sets into IterisPeMS software and we believe this data set will be particularly useful to our customers. By integrating this external feed with local data sources, we can help agencies gain new insights into the effects of operational changes, and make better decisions based on real-time and predictive, actionable information."

Rick Schuman, vice president of public sector for INRIX, commented: "Advancements in 'Big Data' are opening up new avenues for solving age old transportation problems. Our comprehensive, nationwide data set fills important gaps in agency coverage, that when combined with an agency's existing data and IterisPeMS, can help agencies manage and measure road network performance with significantly greater precision."

The IterisPeMS software system with integrated INRIX traffic information is expected to be available in the summer of 2012.
