Spun out in early February 2018 from Physical Optics Corporation (POC) - arguably one of the earliest and most active SBIR-STTR Awardees - Intellisense Systems, Inc. (Intellisense) initially functioned as a wholly owned subsiduary of POC working in the areas of integrated sensors systems, integrated wearable technologies, deep learning, and display technologies. With a focus on augmented intelligence and software applications for hardware enhancements, an early product line inthe firm included the Micro Weather Sensor™ (MWS™), which was developed for military and defense purposes, and was subsrquently utilized in the California wildfires, provided critical and localized weather data to fire fighters. Intellisense Systems, Inc. has subsequently evolved to become a leading provider of advanced sensing and display solutions supporting a data continuum from acquisition to visualization. Enhancing the firm's hardware with software that adds intelligence to their systems and can turn raw data into useful information for improved decision-making and process automation, the firm is now in its own right a technology innovator and advanced systems integrator that solves some of the toughest challenges of the firm's clients by designing, developing, and manufacturing, solutions that sense, transmit, process, and display information. Innovative technologies include integrated sensor systems, wearable technologies, visualization and display systems, and augmented intelligence software solutions.
