Utilizing the firm's exclusive shape memory material, PEEK Altera, MedShape Solutions offer surgeons soft tissue fixation devices that provide dynamic adaptation to ongoing changes in surrounding bone, a simplified device insertion with high pull-out strength and improved cyclic loading. PEEK Altera was created to be both biocompatible and radiolucent for easier imaging. In July 2017 ConMed Corporation acquired MedShape Inc.'s ExoShape anterior cruciate ligament fixation system, including femoral and tibial soft tissue fasteners. Medshape is also decsribed as a foot and ankle orthopedic implant company with a market-leading product to eliminate limb amputation
