In 2015, Semtech (NASDAQ:SMTC) divested its defense and microwave communications infrastructure business to Jariet Technolgies, a newly-formed company in which Semtech took a minority stake. The former SemTech Chief Strategy Officer become Jariet's CEO and 30+ other Semtech personnel transferred to the new firm . Jariet is organized around data converter technology enabling higher performance, lower power, and smaller systems. The firm's related experience enables high level engagement and a capacity to solve complex system challenges. CMOS design and layout engineers, working in the leading-edge deep-submicron processes (14nm FinFET) are able to take advantage of the analog performance to realize the low power highest performing converters. The RF team has experience in high performance SiGe technologies.
