Investigen Inc is developing new processes to shorten testing time and reduce the complexity of DNA diagnostic testing and detection of microorganisms and genetically modified organisms. The firm’s smartDNA nucleic acid detection method represents the future in DNA diagnostics. The firm is developing this flexible technology to be used in laboratories, at point-of-care and in low resource settings for fast molecular diagnostic capabilities. The firm is working with strategic partners in manufacturing, distribution and sales to develop smartDNA applications that will revolutionize molecular diagnostics. This new approach to DNA/RNA detection will reduce the dependency on other expensive and cumbersome DNA test methods and will put DNA testing in a portable package that delivers near instantaneous results.
