Stealthy startup LuxVue Technology disclosed this week that it has raised about $11 million in a Series B funding round.

The Santa Clara company is led by CEO Andreas Bibi, but little else has been publicly revealed about the startup since it was founded several years ago. It raised $7.5 million in 2011 when it was operating out of Los Altos and it was formerly known as Papierlos Corporation.

Bibi was previously head of Dimatix, Sportbrain and Raster Graphics, according to his LinkedIn profile.

One of its backers is Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, which says the company is working on next-generation, low-power, microLED-based displays for consumer electronics applications. Both Wen Hsieh and Bill Joy of KPCB are on LuxVue's board.

Ronald Chwang, chairman of iD Ventures, is another board member.

LuxVue said in its Securities and Exchange Commission filing that there were six investors in the latest funding round.
