CC Biotech LLC manufactures versatile low-cost centrifuge-based chromatographs that can purify from complex mixtures, bio-molecules without denaturing. Planned for market entry is the following instrumentation:
1) Countercurrent chromatography (CCC) extended to the larger bio-molecules with the new spiral separation rotor of high loading capacity for all types of molecules including small organic compounds and natural products. A small scale module can interface with mass spectrometry for high coverage proteomics analysis.
2) A gradient precipitation centrifuge that provides a different selectivity in combination with membrane separation (centrifugal precipitation chromatography, CPC). Proteins are separated out of complex mixtures in one step. These technologies can isolate and fractionate membrane proteins.

Products and/or Services:
The CCC and CPC separation instruments are being developed to commercial sales, with sales of components ongoing. The business will include reagents, supplies and customer service. Strategic partnerships will develop scale-up processes for industry.

Technologies/Special Know-how: CC Biotech has an exclusive license from NIH for the patents. The first spiral rotor designed and built by CC Biotech resulted in new features that are being patented by CC Biotech with international filings. Applications in various research areas are being discovered.
