We are in an era of healthcare transformation. The National Quality forum created a list of priorities in healthcare based on the “National Priorities and Goals” report in 2008. The framework for “Meaningful Use” and “Comparative Effectiveness Research (CER)” is based on that list. Key among the priorities are: (1) Improved patient quality and safety, (2) Increased efficiency and effectiveness, (3) Improved population health.

KnowMED solutions directly address these priorities. Our technology enables clients to improve patient quality and safety by offering customizable quality measurement and reporting. Our platform will increase efficiency and effectiveness by offering an innovative semantic approach to clinical outcomes measurement and reporting (CER). Our technology supports research to improve population health using outputs from both quality and clinical outcome measurements and reporting.

KnowMED’s semantic technology approach is a completely new IT platform for improving information integration, modeling, and analytics. All of these improvements are necessary for better patient safety, quality of care, research, and cost effectiveness of healthcare operations.
