Large-scale manufacturing requires the ability to timely and accurately manage manpower, machines, and materials to eliminate the possibility of waste, shortages, and delays.

Stottler Henke Associates, Inc. (San Mateo, CA), developed the Aurora™ software package to manage every step of the manufacturing process, most notably in aerospace projects. The technology was developed in part with assistance from MDA SBIR projects to enhance missile defense planning, beginning with a 2003 SBIR Phase I contract and including a 2008 Phase II award.

The Aurora technology quickly became the go-to scheduling technology of major manufacturers such as Boeing, which has built its new model 787 aircraft using the efficiencies of the Stottler Henke product. Stottler Henke recently launched a major upgrade of Aurora to enable multiproject, critical-chain project management (CCPM), which offers manufacturers a platform for making changes mid-project without causing widespread delays.

In 2012, the company continued to rack up recognition, winning a Small Business Administration Tibbetts Award. The award is presented to exemplary companies and individuals that promote the mission and goals of the SBIR and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs.

Stottler Henke develops advanced software solutions to improve planning and scheduling initiatives that often constrain manufacturers and assembly-line producers. The company's software has been adopted on a wide-scale by Fortune 500 companies.
