On September 20, 2013, Basler Electric Company and MPR Associates signed a new Teaming Agreement to provide excitation systems and components to the commercial nuclear industry. The new agreement strengthens and extends their 1999 exclusive agreement which provided engineered solutions for critical plant equipment such as standby diesel generators.

"This new agreement with MPR, enables us to continue to provide the nuclear industry with engineered solutions and manufacturing capability for critical plant equipment such as standby diesel generators," Gary Dolbeare, Basler Electric President, stated.

For nearly fifteen years, Basler Electric and MPR have worked together, under an exclusive agreement, extending the life of existing excitation systems and components and replacing obsolete systems. The new agreement will extend the reach and impact of the team in the United States, Canada, and South Korea.

"Industry operating experience shows us the critical role standby power systems play for nuclear plant safety. Under this agreement, the Basler and MPR team is enabling plants with OEM and non-OEM equipment to maintain high levels of reliability and dependability into the future," said Robert Carritte, Vice President, MPR Power Systems and Analysis.
