n May 2003, Qualcomm announces its fourth generation of WCDMA chipsets. The solution delivers High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA), a next-generation feature of the WCDMA (UMTS) standard, as well as roaming on GSM and GPRS systems. In addition, the new solution provides WCDMA handsets with enhanced multimedia functionality for video conferencing, streaming video, music playback, gaming, camera and camcorder features.
