Xerion Advanced Battery Corp. (XABC) is a technology startup focused development and engineering of advanced nano-structured battery systems. With work underway to develop scalable manufacturing methods, the company is currently working with a nanostructured electrode architecture designated StructurePoreTM, that was developed in the research group of Professor Paul Braun a=t the University of Illinois, Urban- Champaign. Exclusively licensed by the University to XABC, StructurePoreTM enables high power, high capacity batteries with enhanced safety and cycle life , all at reduced cost. With application relevant to a wide range of industries, XABC has an initial market focus of hybrid vehicles and battery storage application for the utility industry.
