Structured around medical devices to treat heart failure, VADovations has developed a miniature blood pump which required less invasive surgery to implant thereby shortening hospitalization time from three weeks to four days. In partnership with Frontier Electronic Systems and the University of Tulsa,the firm's miniature blood pump is the size of a AAA battery. Most importantly, the miniature blood pump will be more compatible with the human body, significantly decreasing the adverse effects which occur with current blood pumps, potentially saving millions of lives.
