Sunburst Sensors, LLC designs and manufactures autonomous instruments that measure the marine and freshwater inorganic carbon parameters pCO2 and pH using their patented drift-free technology. SAMITM, an acronym for "Submersible Autonomous Moored Instrument", remotely detects and logs levels of dissolved chemicals in sea and fresh water. The company was spun out of technology developed at the University of Montana.
