Known as Scion Cardio-Vascular until 2013, Scion BioMedical, Inc. is a medical device and biotechnology company that primarily develops and markets anti-microbial barriers as well as drug delivery gells. It's primary product is called Clo-Sur P.A.D. and is a anti-microbial barrier used for rapid control of bleading associated with all vascular access sites. Since 2001, the Clo-Sur has been distributed via an agreement with Medtronic. Scion has also developed other hemostatic products and a hydrogel delivery systems.
