The MELD technology is a solid-state process that can print parts without having to melt metal. Applications including additive manufacturing, coating, repairing, joining, adding features, and creating metal matrix composites (MMCs) and custom metals. The MELD process is a no-melt, open-atmosphere process that proceeds high-quality materials with lower energy requirements and faster than conventional processes. The company offers both machines that utilize their technologies as well as contract manufacturing and additional services.
