In February 2008, Magnacom was acquired by Technology Service Corporation -- a larger but also SBIR involved firm headquarteredin Maryland. MagnaCom, Inc. is a high-technology engineering company that provides technical, analytical, and other specialized services to military, government and corporate customers. Core areas of expertise are missile defense systems, system and sensor integration and test, radar systems, modeling and simulation, and real-time software development and assessment. Though no longer SBIR Involved, the firm continues to work inthe federal space supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Test Directorate (DT) through the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD). Perform pre-mission feasibility analysis of planned Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) ground test scenarios to ensure they will meet their intended requirements. Develop 3-D CAD models of many tactical weapons systems and threats commonly found in air and missile defense scenarios for application into in-house visualization software (SystemVis) using Blender. Develop numerous videos illustrating key findings and observations from MDA ground and flight tests for senior leadership and Government decision makers. Create the SystemVis Quickstart Guide and coordinated development of the SystemVis User's Manual to enable customers to use the software at Government sites. Provide tech support at Government sites for SAT and SystemVis.
