Kandra is a successful app developer whose earlier project Zulip - an open source group chat and collaborative software - was acquired by DropBox in 2014 while it was still in pre-production, stealth mode. Intended as an open-source alternative to Slack or HipChat, in September 2015, Dropbox licensed the product with an open-sourced Apache license. The original developer is now offering the product as a mobile option with the capacity to communicate as efficiently as with a full leyboard text editor.
