JADI is responsive to the R&D needs of the U.S. Army Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC) and the Department of Defense (DoD) Joint Robotics Program (JRP). Oakland University (OU) selected JADI as the first commercial company of the OU SmartZone Business Incubator. Principals of the firm have many years of experience in real-time computer systems with intelligent control, unmanned robotics, tracking systems, computer visualization and system simulators. Dr. Edzko Smid's research background includes modeling and simulation, digital signal processing, mechatronic system design, embedded real-time systems, artificial intelligence and optimal control.
