Public Profile

The founding president of Innovative Surface Technologies, Inc. (ISurTecĀ®) - having previously been co-founder, VP/Chief Scientific Officer of a very SBIR-active small firm - Innovative Surface Technologies Inc has a particular focus on projects involving surface modification through chemical bond formation with devices and biomolecules in health care, biosensors, and high value industrial products, SurTec was formed to continue and expand the biotechnology and surface chemistry R&D programs that had been developed over those many years. New inventions and improvements on current intellectual property have been - and are being - directed toward both biotechnology (biosensor and medical devices) and non-medical applications. A interesting example of the latter is their use as superhydrophobic coatings for control of corrosion and other costly problems due to adherence of water and ice to surfaces.
