Still in business and thriving long after their SBIR involvement ~$2M in award dollars - Gaia Herbs, LLC manufactures and sells medicinal herbal products to include liquid herbal extracts, organic products, single herbs, herbal teas, functional foods, solid extracts and elixirs, herbal syrups, herbal immune support and stress response products, cleansing and weight management kits, and others, as well as herbal products for kids. Offered for use in a wide range health and health care areas, the firm was founded by the still CEO Richard Scalzo, who had early been interested in developing natural, customizable medical treatments. He had studied neuropathic botanical medicine at Bastyr University in Seattle and has co-authored various books on natural healing.
