Cobra Aero LLC, spun out of Cobra MOTO in 2012, develops advanced propulsion technology for a variety of markets including racing, fire fighting, aerospace, surface, and underwater vehicles. The company was spun off of Cobra MOTO, who designs and manufactures engines for competitive motocross bikes, to access these new markets while pulling from the design expertise of Cobra MOTO. Initially focused on engines for small unmanned aircrafts, the capabilities have expanded to include R&D test facilities, precision engine assembly, additive and traditional manufacturing, and engineering services. The company is focused on innovating propulsion design and technologies with solutions such as 3D printing to offer lightweight materials that save time.
