Involving Georgia Tech personnel, Bionic Sciences Inc, had been a start-up described as developing the "Tongue Drive System" - a means whereby to allow people with spinal cord injuries to control their wheelchairs, computer cursors or smart phones with tongue movements. This wireless system is described as consisting of the User's tongue being pierced with a magnetic stud that resembles jewelry and acts like a joystick. Areas of business focus had been consulting for wireless communication system and biomedical instruments, design of high efficient wireless power system along with model and design procedure of inductive link. The firm reported having invented, created and launched new wireless powered animal tracking and systems.
