Originalyl called StoveTec, the firm was created as a not-just-for-profit entity to promote the use and adoption of technology created at Aprovecho Research Center (ARC). Wholly owned by ARC, all profits from the sale of StoveTec products are used to help fund the mission to provide cleaner burning and cost-effective stoves to the billions of people in the world who need them most. ARC has worked for decades to establish the worldâs standard for improved cook stoves and has completed over 100 projects in 60 countries.
