Aquaculture Systems Technologies, LLC (AST)is gru=ounded in the acquisition of Armant Aquaculture, Inc. (AAI) of patent rights for "Propeller-Washed Bead Filters" and for the "Bubble-Washed Bead Filters". Followng the acquisition, ASThas worked on refining the complete line of propeller-washed bead filters, increasing the number of filter models available and improving the design by increasing pressure tolerances. Often referred to as bioclarifiers for their ability to perform both biological and mechanical filtration in a single unit, Bead filters operate very much like submerged rock beds or undergravel filters, with the added advantages of easy cleaning, decreased maintenance time, minimized water loss, and increases the quality of the biofiltration process, Industries served are aquaculture & fish hatcheries, aquaponics, aquarium & zoos, koi ponds & home water gardens, wastewater/remediation, live bait & seafood holding, and education & research.
