ARTI (Advanced Renewable Technology International) Inc. was formed by a group of students and alumni from Iowa State University, aiming to achieve zero waste and zero harm to the environment with biorenewable innovations. ARTIs team devises and implements thermochemical engineering solutions that focus on energy efficiency and utilization of waste materials to overcome the consumption of dwindling natural resources. ARTI is working on the production of activated char (ARTIchar) from agricultural residue that has the capability to remove odors, impurities, heavy metals and contaminants from waste streams, water and gases.
