In July of 2004, Adrenaline Research, Inc. was acquired by Woodward Governor Company (Nasdaq:WGOV). As a spin off from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the company's founders combined spark plug research from the Sloan Automotive Lab, ignition studies from the Gas Turbine Lab, and strobe light technology, to create the company's initial patented intellectual property. Since then the company has successfully developed and commercialized automotive electronic products - most notably the line of Accel ignition products manufactured and sold by Echlin (now a subsidiary of Dana Corporation). Adrenaline's efforts, focused on automotive ignition and engine control technology, have resulted in steady revenue growth and profitability.
