The proposed space tug concept proffers a cost-effective rocket stage and debris removal solution that eliminates the need for any physical contact between the spacecraft and the target object, thus eliminating costly precision control and maneuvering systems, the risks of collision with the target-object, and the possibility of elements breaking off the target-object. Furthermore, a novel and highly efficient propulsion system is proposed that should provide for exceptionally long serviceable life.
