DAF seeks renewable energy capabilities for resilient basing through deployable microgrids. Existing options lack consistent, reliable power. Solar is limited by sunlight, micro-nuclear is dangerous and a logistical challenge, fuel-based solutions require constant resupply, and large wind turbines disrupt radars. Consequences include injury, reduced self-sufficiency, and failure to meet renewable energy goals. Accelerate Wind's Xcelerator 6000 offers a solution. This roof-mounted turbine, paired with a patent-pending spoiler, attaches to standard CONEX boxes and air base buildings. Placed on roof edges, it maximizes energy production and outperforms competitors while not interfering with flight paths. Accelerate Wind proposes to modify and adapt the Xcelerator 6000 for a fully-functioning renewable microgrid with reliable wind power. Accelerate Wind's Xcelerator 6000 enhances wind power production and reduces costs for commercial buildings. Our solution is designed to cost less than $0.09/kWh over a 30-year lifespan, making it even more cost-effective than commercial rooftop solar. By capturing peak wind speeds near the roof edge, our patent-pending technology triples power production compared to competitors. Developed alongside wind experts at Argonne National Lab, our Xcelerator 6000 turbine is set to revolutionize renewable energy for commercial buildings, driving the adoption of wind power alongside solar installations.
