P3 Technologies has developed a revolutionary improvement / replacement to the current state-of-the-art diffuser and volute that increases efficiency up to 20% for significantly increased system performance, or significantly reduced energy consumption for ground based systems and significantly reduced fuel consumption for propulsion systems. This is realized through the use of a line replaceable diffuser/volute housing that recovers pressure more effectively than current state of the art designs. By utilizing this on propulsion modules, they can be made lighter, more efficient, and operate at lower speeds improving life, range, and reducing fuel consumption. For pumps, this reduces the power or fuel consumption and for generators it improves the net power output. This technology yields improved system capabilities or reduced operational costs, can be easily retrofitted into existing products or incorporated into new products, and has no recurring costs as the system is completely passive. Any existing pump, compressor, or turbine would benefit from this system and can be converted over to it readily.
