In FY 97, company renamed from Biosource Genetics Corporation. Biosource acquired Large Scale Biology Corporation in Feburay 1999 and in November 1999 the firm adopted the name of its acquired subsidiary located in Rockville, MD. All divisions of the company, Genomics, Antigenics, Proteomics and Bioprocessing are now part of Large Scale Biology Corporation. The new entity isfocused to working on protein-focused technologies, providing the life sciences industry with tools for defining complex biological processes at the functional level. Large Scale Biologyâs approach to high-throughput functional genomics, proteomics, informatics and large-scale production of therapeutic polypeptides forms an integrated life sciences technology platform.
