Rydal Research works in the area of advanced networking technologies for high-performance processing and communications systems. The firm has developed a range of networking technologies to include low latency, high-bandwidth network interfaces and switches, lightweight communications protocols, and low-cost optical links, as well as high-performance sensor networks and signal processing systems based on them. Research is focused in three areasâaccurate, fine-grain modeling and simulation of RapidIO networks for real-time applications, development of VHDL cores for RapidIO interface, bridge, and switch components, and development of high-performance signal processing, reconfigurable computing, and high-performance computing platforms employing FPGAs or ASICs based on these cores.
