In September, 2008, Aculight Corporation was acquired by Lockheed-Martin. Aculight Corporation engages in the research, development, and manufacture of laser system solutions for defense, aerospace, semi-conductor, and medical applications. It offers Capella, an infrared nerve stimulator for medical research; Perseus, an eye-safe pulsed fiber laser for deployment in ground or aerial vehicle sensors; and Aquarius, a green laser source for underwater imaging, micro machining, undersea communications, and nonlinear device pumping applications.
