Della Enterprises Inc provides optical communications, image processing, electronics, signal processing, speech recognition, robotics and computer processing. The firm is currently in development of an eye-safe free space optical communication system for use aboard US Navy aircraft carriers. The system uses infrared LEDs to permit instantaneous two way optical communications from anywhere on the carrier flight deck to a 190 degree transceiver mounted on the ship's island. The technology uses a hand held PDA for data collection (via speech capture) and transmits the data to the ADMACS data system aboard the carrier at data rates ov 1Mbps. The firm is currently operating at 1Mbit data rates; has sucessfully tested at 10Mhz and anticipate reaching 50Mhz using our proprietary LED drive solutions with a revision of our current receiver. Much of the firmâs work revolves around the development of prototypes for technical challenges in need of a solution. This often involves taking an existing technology beyond its current capabilities, but sometimes a problem is only solved by the development of a new technical solution, which does not exist in the market place
