Involved with SBIR more or less coincident with the firm's founding and not ever with SBIR funding being their primary federal contract revenue stream, DCI specializes in high-end engineering and software services for human spaceflight. The firm has worked primarily under regular federal contracting vehicles to support NASA at the Marshall Space Flight Center, Glenn Research Center, and Johnson Space Center, The firm also worked with/for the Department of Defense and commercial space companies, providing classical and structural dynamics, digital and hardware-in-the-loop simulation, custom software applications, and control systems design and analysis to respond rapidly and effectively to complex mission requirements. In September 2020 it was announced that DCI had been acquired by QuantiTech LLC, a portfolio company of Sagewind Capital LLC. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
