Previously known as Aurora Technologies Corporation, Digirad manufactures cadmium zinc telluride crystals for radiation detection. Digirad lets doctors get radical digital images. The firm makes the 2020TC Imager, a digital gamma camera that measures such physiological activity as blood flow, metabolism, and heart function. The device is sold to hospitals, research laboratories, and doctors' offices through a direct sales force in the US and via distribution agreements in Canada, Japan, and Russia.
