Public Profile

In June 2007, Xinetics was a strategic acquisition by Northup Grumman and , thereby became no longer SBIR eligible. Xinetics uses diverse advanced technologies to solve optical and micropositioning needs. The company utilizes background in design, manufacturing, optics, and electro-optics to bring a new perspective to the application of precision motion to photonics. The firm also offers a broad product line in the area of electroceramics. Since the acquisition, Xinetics has taken its core electroceramic and silicon carbide materials technologies and has created precision devices that are highly value-added. The specialized staff has several decades of experience in building precision devices that use actuators and precision structures that are cast near net shape. The Xinetics facility contains state-of-the-art equipment required to produce cofired multilayer actuators, active motion devices, deformable mirrors, photonex modules, digital electronics, and silicon carbide optics and structures. Xinetics has recently built a cryogenic test laboratory, a crystal growth laboratory, and a thin films laboratory to enable new advanced materials and advanced systems core sectors. The company is devoted to continue development of both existing and new technologies that can expand and improve its product line. Research and development, coupled with managed growth, allows us to deliver products on cost and schedule, and continue the creativity so important to our future. Managed growth keeps our rates stable and enables us to provide value to both our Government and Commercial customers. It is our intent to pursue only those research and development ventures that provide true dual-use products.
