The firm remained program involved until 2001 when it had grow beyond to exceed the SBIR size, In September 2008, Secure Computing Corporation (NASDAQ: SCUR) was then acquired by McAfee - for the longest time the maor rival to the SBIR initiated company Symantec. Secure Computing Corporation developed network security products designed to create trusted network environments both inside and outside of their client's organizations. Principal offerings were SafeWord PremierAccess, Sidewinder G2 Firewall, SmartFilter and Embedded Firewall. Either as separately entities or used as an integrated set of capabilities, depending upon the goals and needs of customers. Secure Computing's solutions were comprised of products and applications that are easy to use, administer and manage across different systems as they grow providing a life cycle of support and services, including solution planning, solution implementation and solution support.
