Public Profile

Parvus Corporation is a strategic systems engineering and development partner for aerospace, defense, transportation, and industrial Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) - specializing in the rapid design and production of rugged embedded computing and communication subsystems for Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP)-constrained military, aerospace, and homeland defense applications. Parvus’ Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) tactical mission processors, network routers and Ethernet switch products provide highly reliable command, control, computing and communication (C4) capabilities for situational awareness and mobile data processing in airborne, ground vehicle, and naval installations. Parvus leverages extensive expertise in systems integration, electrical/mechanical design, and MIL environmental qualification together with a complete line of rugged embedded computer boards and enclosures to minimize cost, ensure high reliability and accelerate time-to-market for its customers. Parvus is a U.S. subsidiary of the Eurotech Group, a global family of technology companies focused on innovative small form factor embedded and high performance computing solutions. Eurotech is publicly traded on the Milan, Italy Stock Exchange (Borsa Italiana) with operations located throughout the USA, Europe and Asia. Parvus is a Registered Partner of Cisco Systems for the hardware design and integration of the Cisco 3200 Mobile Access Router (MAR), a ruggedized mobile IP router delivering seamless, secure data, voice and video communications across wireless and wired networks. Similarly, Parvus also ruggedizes other Cisco-based Ethernet switch, router, and wireless access point products for deployment in harsh military and civil environments (extreme temperature, vibration, shock, ingress, EMI/EMC). Parvus serves a large, diverse group of military and commercial contractors developing intelligent, ruggedized computing and communications solutions for harsh field environments. Parvus has strong customer relationships with numerous US government contractors, military branches, aeronautics, transportation, energy and telecommunications giants. Key customers include L-3 Communications, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Boeing Company, BAE Systems, General Dynamics, among others. Because of the broad applications for embedded computing technology, Parvus' products can be found on land, air, and sea, performing system monitoring, datalogging, diagnostics, communication, and sub-system control. Typical customers outsource their complete computer hardware platform to Parvus, along with BIOS and device driver support. This partnership enables customers to not de-focus from their core competencies or end application software development. Platform Experience: 737-900, AAV-7A1 Amphibious Assault Vehicle, Abrams M1A2, AH-64 Apache Helicopter, AH/MH-6 Littlebird, B1-B Lancer, AC-130H Spectre, DDG-1000 Zumwalt, EA-6B Prowler, E4-B NAOC, Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle (EFV), F-14 Tomcat, F-15 Eagle, F-22 Raptor, GoldenEye 80 (GE-80), HMMWV Line of Sight Antitank (LOSAT), Littoral Combat Ship (LCS), LCS Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV), M113 Armored Personnel Carrier, M48 Chaparral, MQ-1 Predator, Nimitz aircraft carriers, Nuclear Biological Chemical (NBC) detection systems, Remote Operations Video Enhanced Receiver (ROVER) Datalink, RQ-5 Hunter, SH-60 LAMPS MK III Seahawk, RSD Husky, T-38 Talon, P-3C Orion, P-8 Poseidon MMA, Smiths CBPS, QF-4 Phantom, Ultra Long Distance Scientific Balloon (ULDB), UH-60 Blackhawk, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), USMC SOC-R. Robust, off-the-shelf product line includes: 1. Rugged Processor Systems (Vehicle Mission Computers, Wearable PCs) 2. Mobile Networking Equipment (Switches, Routers, Access Points) 3. Intelligent Military LCD Displays 4. Industrial Grade Board-Level PC/104 Modules (CPU, I/O, and Power Supply Boards, Enclosures) Parvus’ boards and systems are typically based on standards-based embedded PC technology. PC/104 is the computer technology standard that adapts widely available Personal Computer (PC) technology and bus architecture for use in embedded microcomputer systems. This type of PC-compatible circuit board (or module) can be used as a complete stand-alone computer or stacked together as components for larger systems. Many types of PC/104 products are available, including single board computers (CPU boards), video controllers and frame grabbers, network interfaces (GigE, 1553), GPS and wireless modules, high-speed serial buses controllers, data acquisition boards, and other specialized interfaces. PC/104 is characterized by its small form-factor (3.550" x 3.775"), stackable 104-pin-and-socket ISA (PC/AT) bus connector, low power consumption and lack of a backplane. Two derivatives of PC/104 include PC/104-Plus, which adds a 120-pin PCI bus connector, and PCI-104 (a PCI-only version). PC/104 technology dramatically improves time-to-market for embedded systems development, since it leverages the same readily available development tools used with personal desktop computers. Its compact size, durability, expandability, and reliability make it an ideal solution for embedded computing. More than 200 vendors worldwide supply hardware, software, and engineering services to support the growing PC/104, PC/104-Plus, and PCI-104 standard
