In June 2008, Memry Corporation was acquired by Italian firm Saes Getters SpA. Memry Corporation -- formerly known as Memry Metals and then as Memry Technologies -- the firm continues to wok in the advanced materials space having invented and developed nitinol alloys and other superelastic and shape memory alloys and the manufacture of nitinol semi-finished forms and fabricated components. With locations in Brookfield, Conn., Menlo Park, Calif., and Herk-de-Stad, Belgium the firm is engaged in the design, development and manufacture of various medical and industrial materials and components utilizing shape memory alloys.
