Public Profile

The management of MiResource envisions a world where every person has access to effective mental healthcare. To that end, management - having successfully raised $3M in support capital - announced intend to use the funds to unite college counseling centers across the country to connect students to mental health care. The funding will also enable MiResource to continue expanding their automated, online referral platform to connect individuals with the mental health care they need. MiResource is usefylly understood as a mental health marketplace making it easy for health institutions to connect their patients to the right mental health care to address their particular (unique) needs. The developed system guides users through the process of identifying the right care for their needs by removing the knowledge burden from the patient and their care providers helping them effectively to navigate the complexities of the mental health care system - addressing what is major gap in healthcare, in which the physical care system wants to make referrals to help patients obtain mental health care but lacks the infrastructure to do so effectively. Since physical health care is often the first entry point into the mental health care system, this prevents people from successfully connecting with mental health care providers. By creating an accessible, user-friendly platform, MiResource makes the process for finding care seamless.
