FlexEl LLC is a green-tech company, spun-out from the University of Maryland, working on the design, development, license and/or manufacturing of novel flexible electronics and flexible powered power management systems. The company's primary development is BatteryCloth, a customized, completely flexible and bendable battery that can be used for disposable electronics applications such as powered smart cards, smart packaging, active RFID cards, remote sensor and transmission networks for structural, environmental and medical consumer product devices. These batteries have applications for use in screen printing, slot-die and other coating and printing techniques. The company is also developing advanced printing and assembly technologies to support a growing number of very demanding and sensitive flexible device applications that are enabled by FlexElâs core battery technology
