Solar Roadways® is structured around the task of developing Solar Road Panels - effectively opening up a whole new market for the solar industry: utilizing all walking and driving surfaces. The developed Solar Road Panels are intelligent, modular, strong infrastructure panels having integrated solar cells capable of producing clean energy in places where it was previously impossible: parking lots, sidewalks, driveways, bike paths, roads, playgrounds, airports, etc. Funded by US Department of Transportation, Solar Roadways® research and development is designed to modernize the infrastructure with modular, intelligent panels producing clean renewable energy for homes, businesses, and cities.
