Public Profile

Mechanical Simulation International (MechSim) provides detailed 3D Computer Visualizations of equipment prototypes and operational simulations. MECHSIM offers the Professional Engineering Services (PES) . 1. Transportability of Military Systems: MECHSIM has over ten years experience providing Transportability Consulting Services to the US Department of Defense. Specifically, MECHSIM staff write and/or evaluate requirements, evaluate transportability of proposed systems, and provide modeling and simulation services and expertise to enhance the successful development of systems that are compatible with the existing and future Defense transportation infrastructure. 2. Concept Demonstration/Evaluation. MECHSIM uses 3D-modeling and motion simulation to generate realistic, functional representations of mechanical systems, evaluate operational concepts, and quantify concept feasibility. Realistic 3D animations are useful for developing, marketing, and evaluating engineering concepts prior to physical prototyping and testing. 3. Clearance Analysis. MECHSIM uses detailed CAD models and multibody dynamic software to accurately simulate motion and evaluate physical clearances and compatibility of an integrated system. 4. Structural Analysis. MECHSIM uses commercial Finite Element Analysis software to simulate and evaluate physical forces applied and encountered by mechanical components under a wide range of system operating conditions. The resulting hardware is optimized for weight and strength. 5. Multibody Dynamics. MECHSIM uses commercial multibody dynamics software to build, verify and validate simulations of complex mechanical systems, including commercial and military vehicles. These models are useful for predicting and improving performance as well as evaluating and remedying failures
