Advanced Programming Concepts provides custom applications and systems software programming services to develop state-of-the-art command and control systems. The firm's flagship product, the Air Defense Systems Integrator (ADSI) is a joint tactical command and control system. With more than 270 systems delivered worldwide, the ADSI combines certified tactical data links, electronic intelligence, and surveillance radar interfaces into transportable, mobile, airborne, and shipboard systems. In 1999 Advanced Programming Concepts was acquired by Ultra Electronics, a UK Defense Group with 17 companies engaged in the design, manufacture and support of electronic and electromechanical products for aerospace and defense markets worldwide. Because of this foreign ownership, the firm is governed by a Special Security Agreement (SSA) between the U.S. Government and Ultra Electronics. This SSA, monitored by a blue ribbon all-U.S. Citizen Board of Directors and Government Security Committee meets U.S. Government requirements for access to classified information by foreign-owned U.S. Defense firms and provides assurance to U.S. DOD security officials that APC follows all security regulations with regard to both classified and technology information export and control.
