Anchored in work undertaken at NorthWestern University, Volexion is developing advanced cathode materials for lithium ion batteries that overcome key limitations to conventional technology. The primarily effort has been to enhance battery performance at low temperatures and rapid charging and discharging, employing graphene nanomaterial technology that drives superior performance for Li-ion batteries and pushes forward Li-ion batteries 5 year forward. The cathode materials used provide higher energy efficiency, improves cycling stability and utilizes safer materials.
