Attollo Engineering proposes a compact non-mechanical covert infrared solution that operates for long durations without recharge or battery replacement. The unit is based on a 2-D mid infrared laser array driven by Attollos unique fast sequencer circuit and emits in the covert MWIR band. The emitter unit uses a hemispherical lens to provide hemispherical emission of signals that are recognizable by fielded systems out to 4 km.The emitter unit sends pulse of MWIR light over a hemispherical range that should be easily detectable by friendly forces.IFF,Beacon,MWIR,non-mechanical

Attollo and Team will design and develop a compact, covert, non-mechanical quad-band beacon for identifying friendly forces. The proposed solution includes a mid wavelength infrared (MWIR) beacon detectable by typical targeting pod cameras like LITENING Pod beyond an 8 nmi slant range. The key technology in this system includes innovative packaging of an advanced, low-cost Quantum Cascade Laser (QCL) and a novel hemispherical light projection optical design. The system is projected to be less than 100 cm3, weigh less than 6 ounces, and sell for less than $5k per unit in 1,000 unit quantities.
