Functioning in the space of unmanned surface vessel (USV) and autonomous vessel control systems, in September 2018, Autonomous Surface Vehicles LLC (ASV) was acquired by L3 and now operates as a subsiduary of L3Harris Technologies (NYSE:LHX). With L3 active in the SBIR M/A space over a long period with over 40 SBIR Awardee acquisitions, the ASV business is now part of the Unmanned Maritime Systems (UMS) division, also consisting of the former OceanServer, Adaptive Methods and Open Water Power businesses.
